Built by founders who understand the problem
We've been there—attending conferences, taking notes, and losing track of valuable insights. retalk is our solution: Get more and lasting value from events!
Jana Kumstová
Co-Founder & CEO
I love the mix of structure and chaos that comes with running events. From leading volunteer teams to managing operations and marketing, I know how much effort goes into it. I'm building retalk to make sure that effort pays off long after the doors close.
Felix Schmidt
Co-Founder & CTO
In the last couple of years I have been focusing on building software that helps people communicate better. With retalk, I'm applying some of the same technology to events, turning hours of messy stage audio into structured assets that are actually useful.
Our story
The problem
We love events, but we hate how fast the value disappears. You attend a conference, hear great ideas, and by Monday, most of it is forgotten. The recordings usually sit in a folder that nobody opens, and the insights fade away.
The spark
retalk started when Felix, who has spent the last years building conversational AI tools at Got It, saw that events were full of valuable, uncaptured data. He pitched the idea of fixing this.
Jana, who has organized everything from volunteer teams to Startup Weekends, immediately joined. She saw the potential to solve a frustration for organizers: making the hard work of an event last longer than just a few days.
The execution
We had 48 hours during Techstars Startup Weekend Tallinn to build a solution. We didn't want to just present slides, so we built the product live. By Saturday afternoon, we were already testing retalk with real audio during the pitch training session.
The validation
It just clicked. After seeing it in action, organizers and mentors started coming up to us, asking if they could use it for their own events. Since that weekend, we have already run three successful pilots with smaller events to prove the platform works.
